Areas of the State
The state of Wisconsin is loosely divided into four regions or areas for administrative purposes.
- Southwest Area
- Southeast Area
- Wolf River Area
- Central Northwest Area
Most clubs in each area belong to the area association that is geographically closest. Each area association has a slate of officers and delegates from member clubs. Delegates for each area attend the state meetings or Jamborees to decide issues of mutual interest.
The annual State Square Dance Convention is rotated around the state by area. Duties for each convention are divided and assigned among members of each area according to a schedule.
